Fritz Nagel, son of the furniture manufacturer A. Nagel, studied architecture from 1903 to 1906 under Josef Hoffmann at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts in Vienna. He designed several furnitures which were excuted by his fathers manufactory.
Solid bird's-eye maple and veneer, solid mahogany and fruitwood. Brass handles. The surface is cleaned and refreshed with shellac polish. The mirror with faceted cut is in fine original condition only with three tiny blind mirror spots.
This freestanding mirror looks marvelous from each side. It is signed on the back with the original company metal label:
MÖBELFABRIK A. NAGEL : WIEN IX : PORZELLANGASSE 27, LIECHTENSTEINSTR. 38a
